Chip Sugg assists clients in the acquisition, disposition, leasing, development, and financing of real property.
Chip handles transactional real estate matters including the leasing, sale, acquisition, financing, and development of office, multi-family, retail, hotel, medical, industrial, mixed-use projects, and farm and ranch properties. He represents clients ranging in size from publicly traded companies with international holdings to individual investors and entrepreneurs. He also counsels clients with respect to formation and capitalization issues, operating issues, acquisitions, financing, and succession planning.

EXPERIENCE HIGHLIGHTS
Acquisition & Sale of Operating Properties
- Assisting in the acquisition, financing, and later disposition of 12 skilled nursing facilities
- Overseeing the sale of 27 convenience stores across Texas
- Represented clients in both the sale and purchase of multiple multi-family properties ranging in price from $4 million to $50 million
- Represented a quick service restaurant franchisee in the acquisition, financing, development, and construction of numerous restaurants throughout Texas
- Represented home builder with the purchase of more than 400 lots throughout Texas
- Represented the largest shareholder of company in the disposition of $270 million hotel portfolio with hotel properties located throughout the United States
- Represented three undivided interest holders in the sale of a $27 million ranch property
- Represented owner of regional propane company with the sale of the business and associated properties
- Represented Buyer of a $30 million dollar ranch property
- Represented owner in the disposition of 250,000 sq. ft. shopping center to multiple buyers.
Leasing
- Represented public traded company in the relocation of its corporate headquarters
- Represented landlord in numerous leases for industrial spaces totaling over 350,000 square feet
- Represented numerous companies in sale and leaseback transactions.
Development
- Represented a developer in the creation of a development agreement with a municipality to develop a convention center, along with numerous hotels and restaurants
- Represented a developer in the acquisition of land and the development of multi-family, commercial and single-family residential development
- Advising a public housing authority on multi-family developments and public private partnerships
- Represented a publicly traded Japanese corporation in the acquisition of a parcel of land and the development of a large manufacturing facility
- Represented large financial institution in the acquisition of property and the construction of a corporate campus
Financing
- Negotiated a $58 million operating loan secured by multiple properties
- Represented Borrower in connection with a $38,000,000 operating loan secured by multiple pieces of real property
- Represented Lender in the sale and leaseback of 23 private country clubs
